It was selected as the future assault rifle for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and has been the standard issued battle rifle for the Givati Brigade since August of 2006 and of the Golani Brigade in August of 2008. The IMI Tavor TAR21 can be seen in service with over 10 countries around Europe, and in the Middle-East.

Ares has replicated the IMI Tavor TAR-21 with a fully FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) body and a built in Red Dot Sight as well as a laser aiming device.
It features ambidextrous cocking levers with a 1-push bolt/spring release system. Both the front and rear iron sights are available through a simple flip, but are usually hidden along the top of the TAR-21.
Due to the unique design of the ARES TAR-21, the spring is located right in the butt stock allowing quick and easy spring changes, therefore allowing you to upgrade/downgrade your rifle on the fly.
The Ares TAR-21 has been built to be compatible with Hicap M4/16 style magazines.
